Toyota partners with the Foundation

The Toyota Motor Corporation Australia (TMCA) has been a long time Foundation supporter, providing a car for the past eight years, as the major prize in our annual raffle. However, with their new support and involvement, Toyota now becomes The Melanoma Foundation’s principal sponsor, and we look forward to developing this partnership in the future.

Toyota and The Melanoma Foundation have together set up the Johnston/Porich Endowment Fund (pdf, 111kb) in recognition of their colleagues Bob Johnston and Alan Porich, who died from melanoma. All funds raised through The Endowment Fund will be directed toward research, awareness and the treatment of melanoma.

Recently TMCA held various ‘shave’ events around Australia to raise funds and awareness about the dangers of melanoma. The events raised over $100,000, a truly wonderful effort. Read more about the Alan Porich Memorial Shave Days.
